The Knowledge Workshop is opening a position for a fundraising consultancy to strengthen and increase KW’s reach to diverse resources and donors.
About the Knowledge Workshop
The Knowledge Workshop (KW) is a feminist organization based in Beirut and works across Lebanon. KW focuses on storytelling and oral history, documenting women’s stories and histories in Lebanon, as well as developing and making accessible more feminist publications and resources. KW is committed to building intergenerational connections, and working across diverse communities and movements.
The Fundraising Consultant is expected to:
- Introduce KW to new donors whose work and values match those of the organization, and introducing donors to KW’s work
- Advice KW management on fundraising strategy; identify immediate priority needs for better fundraising
- Support management on 2 new proposals/applications
- The consultant will be asked to hold 1 closed Q and A session on fundraising tactics and tips with fellow feminist initiatives in Lebanon
Expected Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, especially in the non-profit sector.
- Understanding of the social, economic and political situation of Lebanon (and the MENA region)
- Very good understanding of diverse funding and philanthropic fields, especially those that support organizations working on gender, environment, and/ or digital technology
- Experience in designing fundraising campaigns that engage multiple donors
- Experience and proven track record in writing effective proposals
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Proficiency in English
Expected timeframe for the consultancy: 20-24 hours, between May and September, 2025.
Expected remuneration: 200 USD per hour (subject to tax deduction as per Lebanese law)
