We have an exciting new remote opportunity with our Digital Technology (DT) Digital Manufacturing Applications team for a Full Stack Java Software Engineer.
What You Will Do:
We are looking for a JavaScript Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming.
Responsibilities will include implementing visual elements and their behaviors with user interactions. You will work with both front-end and back-end web developers to build all client-side logic.
You will also be bridging the gap between the visual elements and the server-side infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides, and defining how the application looks and functions. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of high-quality software solutions using Microsoft technologies, while also providing technical leadership and mentorship to the development team. Your focus will be on delivering outcome-based solutions that drive business success and exceed our clients’ expectations.
You will be working with a multi-disciplinary team to solve highly complex business problems. The opportunity to develop and deploy scalable cloud native applications.
Successful candidates will be highly motivated, team-oriented individuals that are interested in taking advantage of emerging technologies around Data Science to gain business insights and help drive Digital transformation in a leading Aerospace Company.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement full-stack software solutions using Java, Java Script and other components of infrastructure which enable Java development.
Architect and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable applications that follow best practices and design principles.
Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to gather and refine project requirements and specifications.
Conduct code reviews and ensure that team members adhere to established coding standards and practices.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and techniques to improve software development processes and product quality.
Develop modern data reporting/visualization solutions which can provide insights into the data and empower business with data driven decision making.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test plans, and user guides.
Assist with the estimation and planning of software development tasks and projects.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues in a timely manner.
Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies to stay current with best practices.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD – 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
