FlightAware is looking for a Sales Executive to sell FlightAware Custom Reports & Rapid Reports product. This position sits at the crossroads of aviation and data and the primary responsibility is to represent FlightAware’s data report products by creating and presenting historical data to potential customers / sales leads. You will be the first point of contact for interested potential customers and you will interact with all facets of the aviation and other industries. As a part of the Custom Data and Rapid Report Sales Team, you will work directly with sales leadership and report to the VP of Partner Sales.

What You Will Do

  • You will drive the entire sales cycle with aviation businesses (airlines, private aviation, airports, finance companies, and supporting third parties) from developing your own opportunities through prospecting, networking, and cold calling to supporting existing clients.
  • You will go through the discovery and lead qualification process with inbound sales leads, prioritize potential deals and closing leads, attend customer/prospect meetings and support feasible report solutions resulting in driving the growth and scalability of our data reporting business.
  • You will represent and demonstrate FlightAware’s capabilities and data sets to a broad set of customer verticals.
  • You will disseminate large inbound sales leads to appropriate sales executives.
  • You will work with the other sales teams to provide data sets to help them prospect, answer inquires, or assist as part of other sales.
  • You will create and maintain effective sales plans to extend the FlightAware data reports products and grow revenues.
  • You will collect market data from customers, prospects, industry analysts, and internal stakeholders.
  • You will make sound business decisions based on trade-offs between cost and benefit.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
  • Experience in sales within the aviation industry.
  • Experience making inbound & outbound sales; turning business inquiries into closed deals.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in technical, data or software sales within a SaaS organization working with airlines, airports, FBOs, private aviation, finance, etc.
  • Demonstrates necessary business acumen with technical literacy.
  • You are a private pilot, you are looking to pursue your private pilot license, or have a passion for aviation.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD – 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
