Field Service Engineer

Job descriptionOur client, a leading provider of innovative solutions and services to the aquaculture industry, is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the complete installation, repair, servicing, and support of a diverse product range, ensuring high-quality service and support at all times.There will be a requirement to travel to customer sites throughout the UK, with occasional opportunities for international travel to countries where the company has a presence.Key Responsibilities:Perform installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance on a comprehensive range of products, including camera systems, fish feeding systems, underwater lights, power infrastructure systems, and net cleaning systems.Cultivate strong, lasting customer relationships through effective communication and responsive support.Maintain accurate records of service work, parts used, field reports, and other documentation.Deliver on-site training to customers, ensuring they are fully equipped to use products effectively and safely.Provide telephone and remote support, including out-of-hours assistance, to address urgent customer needs.Offer technical support to the sales team, assisting in the promotion and understanding of products.Required skills and experience:Strong background in industrial electrical, electronic, or mechanical systemsProven experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical, electronic, or mechanical equipmentFamiliarity with test and measurement instruments relevant to your area of expertiseHands-on experience in field servicing and repairs, with a basic understanding of technical equipment beyond your primary specialisationA valid full driving license is essentialA recognised technical apprenticeship or HNC/HND in electrical or electronic engineering is highly desirableOur role in supporting diversity and inclusion
