About the Role: We are looking for a Field Sales Associate to join our Electronics Market team in our Performance Solutions Division. In this role, you will partner with the Electronics Regional Sales Leader, Strategic Account Manager, as well as our business partners to drive business growth by establishing strong relationships with key industry influencers. You will be expected to manage existing business while uncovering and closing new and profitable sales opportunities within our targeted account base by working closely with a global team of highly skilled associates to drive sales growth and provide exceptional customer experiences. 

This role will cover the territory of Northern California; it is preferred that the candidate resides in Northern California, or surrounding areas.

This is a remote position, and you can work from home in most locations with Northern California, or surrounding areas being preferred.

Pay and Benefits:

  • $99,000 – $150,000 per year
  • Roles above $150k are eligible for the variable pay program each fiscal year, based on defined business performance metrics.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and grow the existing business, with primary focus in Northern California
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in mobility/consumer electronics
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for target business objectives
  • Expand existing contact networks within accounts
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers’ technical and purchasing groups to provide value and effectively position Gore products
  • Sell and promote electronic products in all areas and applications, as well as new product introductions
  • Develop an intimate understanding of the market and product challenges
  • Collaborate with Asia Pacific-based Gore associates
  • Distill complex information and communicate it effectively both internally and externally to drive actions
  • Utilize basic sales disciplines to manage the account (i.e. blue sheets, funnel management, CRM/SalesForce, account plans, territory plans, etc.)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years working in a technical/ product development environment
  • Proven success building contact networks in a sales or customer-facing role supporting mobility/consumer electronics OEM accounts
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including computer literacy
  • Strong independent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding electronics market
  • Ability to build relationships, understand strategic business issues, sell strategically in a complex global OEM environment and develop and communicate value propositions as win/win business proposals
  • Ability to forecast accurately and deliver on year-over-year growth expectations
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate customer application details to product and manufacturing teams
  • Ability to successfully interact with sales, market, and business teams to shape business and sales strategies
  • Ability & willingness to travel up to 40% of the time

Desired Qualifications:

  • Technical Degree or MBA
  • Minimum 5 or more years of account management sales experience
  • Proven track record of sales growth through account penetration & development

Remote Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates in the continental United States (US) and Canada, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore’s remote working policies, from the country in which they are employed. For fully remote roles, the following locations are not eligible for new fully remote work arrangements: Alaska and Hawaii (for all roles), and Rhode Island (for wage/hourly roles only).
