Job Description :We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled FEA Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible to perform Finite Element Analysis on innovative designs and optimization of structural design. In addition, you would perform failure analysis on complex mechanical issues to support the design and development of our products. You will also collaborate closely with the cross functional teams to ensure that our products meet durability, safety and reliability standards.Key Responsibilities:– Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to define, plan, execute FEA tasks and communicate the results
– Create Finite Element Models and perform simulations
– Analyse, optimize, interpret simulation results and provide design improvement recommendations to the project teams
– Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions
– Utilize analytical and numerical simulation methods to predict and optimize the performance of design
– Perform static, dynamic and thermomechanical analysis
– Brainstorm and propose solutions to problems based on the simulation results Required qualifications :– MSc or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
– Fluent in English
– 3+ year’s automotive powertrain simulation experience in industrial settings
– Proficient in using FEA software tools like Abaqus, Ansys and Altair Hyperworks
– Solid fundamentals in mechanics and strength of materials
– Should be able to plan & execute the complete simulation process, starting from understanding the designer’s requirements, preprocessing, setup, solving, post-processing, results interpretation and reporting
– Able to interpret simulation results and relate them to corresponding physical mechanism or tests to arrive at conclusions for product design improvements and correlation
– Candidate must be able to communicate well with the cross-functional team members and be able to efficiently collaborate with the team members to achieve project goals with open-minded, constructive and positive mindset
– Highly organized with strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. You are capable to think of out of the box solutions
