We also work with hundreds of partners across retail, travel and more, that includes some of the UK’s favourite brands, such as Argos and BA to offer our customers real value.This is an exciting role in the Customer Loyalty team, designing experiences for our marketing campaigns and supporting our evolving design systemIn this role you will be influencing on bringing the joy, warmth and playfulness of the Nectar brand alive in the app through seasonal and targeted campaigns. You’ll also bring your eye for detail and visual expertise to influence and align the Nectar experience across platforms along with the Design System for a consistent, beautifully crafted customer experience.As an Experience Designer, you will be responsible for understanding how our customers shop with us, what value and loyalty means to them and what their pain points are. You will have access to research and insights and work closely with our Loyalty product, engineering and Marketing teams. You will take those customers pain points and the business needs and design solutions that support customer’s needs.You will be working within a team of experienced product managers and engineers alongside stakeholders from other parts of the operation who will rely on your knowledge of user experience, accessibility, and interaction design.The ideal candidate will have ideally spent time in a mid-weight design role, be used to solving problems and advocate the value of design. You will need to use design thinking to plan out that work and get feedback from a range of stakeholders. With tight feedback loops and the ability to bring about huge changes to our customers, this position offers an extremely rewarding design role.What you’ll do:
- Craft elegant and user-centred app experiences
- Work within an agile team across product, design, and engineering to get your solutions into the hands of our customers
- Work with the Design Systems team to understand which components exist and contribute back ideas to improve the customer experience.
- Perform your own desk and in-store research to explore and iterate design solutions.
- Organise design workshops with stakeholders to articulate customer and business problems and what the possible solutions might be.
- Interact with stakeholders from across the group to share insights and ideas.
- Work with the content strategists and accessibility specialist to design the best experience for all our customers and colleagues.
- Design and test concepts and solutions, working with our researchers and journey managers to understand the customer journeys and customer pain points.
- Be part of an exciting design community, pairing up with other designers and sharing ideas to constantly iterate the customer experience.
What we’re looking for:Industry experience as a UI or Product Designer is essential. As are the core technical skills outlined in the role details above. Alongside this, we’re looking for certain behaviours and competency skills. These skills will help you thrive in a dynamic team like ours. This is a midweight role so we’re looking for a minimum of 3 years of experience.Skills we are looking for:
- System and service design experience to able to navigate complex and connected problem spaces
- Adaptable to changing priorities, complexity and unknowns
- Strong visual, interface and interaction design skills
- Excellent time management to work effectively across multiple projects
- Confidence challenging your peers and stakeholders
- Taking the initiative and driving change
- Tailoring your approach for different audiences
- Expertise designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma
- Capable of conducting research and interpreting results
- Knowledge of how to design inclusively
- Influence and negotiation skills
