The Armed Conflict Location & Event Data organization (ACLED) is a disaggregated data collection, analysis, and crisis mapping institution. The ACLED team collects conflict information, conducts analysis to describe, explore, and test conflict scenarios, and makes both data and analysis open for free use by the public. ACLED’s work is regularly used to inform journalism, academic research, and public discourse on conflict, and to support practitioners and policymakers. ACLED is the highest quality and most widely used real-time data and analysis source on political violence and protest around the world.
The role
ACLED is recruiting a full-time Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Team. This position will report to the Head of Executive Office.

Role and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will carry out the following activities as part of the Executive Team:
- Provide high-level administrative support and assistance to the Executive Team and/or other assigned leadership staff
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks including writing and editing emails, drafting memos, and preparing communications for the Executive Team
- Prepare and edit presentations, agendas, reports, special projects, and other documents in support of organizational objectives
- Assist the Head of Executive Office in managing the calendars of the Executive Team
- Schedule and attend meetings on behalf of the Executive Team, taking notes and recording minutes
- Work with ACLED’s designated travel agency to arrange travel and accommodations for the Executive Team
- Handle documentation related to travel, such as reports, receipts, and reimbursement requests
- Support the Head of Executive Office in planning and organizing events, including conferences, workshops, and meetings
- Assist the Head of Executive Office with Board and Advisory Board management
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Team
Skills and competencies
ACLED is seeking applicants who have the following skills and experience:
- At least 3 years of related experience (required);
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Ability to work remotely with limited supervision;
- Excellent organization and time management skills;
- Good judgment and high attention to detail;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment;
- Extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems;
- Extremely proficient with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software;
- Fluency in English (essential);
- Ability to travel as necessary (up to 15%).
