Entry Level Systems Administrator

Company

Motorola Solutions

Job description

Company Overview

At Motorola Solutions, we’re guided by a shared purpose – helping people be their best in the moments that matter – and we live up to our purpose every day by solving for safer. Because people can only be their best when they not only feel safe, but are safe. We’re solving for safer by building the best possible technologies across every part of our safety and security ecosystem. That’s mission-critical communications devices and networks, AI-powered video security & access control and the ability to unite voice, video and data in a single command center view. We’re solving for safer by connecting public safety agencies and enterprises, enabling the collaboration that’s critical to connect those in need with those who can help. The work we do here matters.

Department Overview We are seeking an Entry Level Systems Administrator to join our growing department. Working closely with the Deployment Team, the role of the Systems Administrator will work alongside our existing team to aid with managing all aspects of our internal Control Room Solution (CRS) and Pronto test system infrastructure, supporting our deployment team in delivering successful projects to our end customers. This role provides the opportunity to learn and grow new skills within an established team.

Motorola Solutions’ CRS is a mission critical, secure Integrated Communications Control System providing integrated telephony, radio, data and multimedia communications, delivered as software as a service, simplifying control room IT management and reducing risk with ongoing enhanced communication functionality to meet the needs of the UK’s emergency services. CRS is primarily targeted at Emergency Services to respond to life-critical situations. These include providing 999 call handling and Despatch of staff to emergencies.

The Pronto suite of applications from Motorola Solutions enables officers to access information in national and local databases on a mobile device whilst in the field. They can then reuse that information to complete processes digitally, as well as to manage and submit accurate information directly from the front line. From road traffic and community policing to criminal justice, crime investigations and back-office management support, Pronto delivers totally paperless policing to the front-line, reducing complexity and enhancing effectiveness.
