We have an exciting remote opportunity for an Enterprise Platform System – Database Administrator!

This IT position is responsible for supporting the database environment (MS SQL, Oracle, SAP HANA) with regard availability, capacity planning, and performance for systems at Pratt & Whitney. Ensuring compliance with RTX policy and OEM best practice for security settings and patching is key. The position will be part of a DBA team focused on database builds, patching, performance administration, monitoring, audit support, policy compliance, and user assignment per established business policy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database policy compliance and oversight.
• Deploy tools and processes to ensure role compliance and user assignment in a timely fashion Support audit requests Provide technical support to Pratt & Whitney business users on database management systems standards, technologies, tools and access requests.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a technical field and 5+ years of Database Administration experience; OR an Advanced degree in Information Technology or a technical field and 3+ years of Database Administration experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Database Administration (Microsoft SQL, Oracle, SAP HANA).
• Application development standards, architectures, and best practices.
• ITAR and Export regulations as they apply to IT asset access control UNIX and Windows access for log review and DBA file maintenance.
• Microsoft Windows software for PCs and servers.
• System security techniques and policies.
• Candidate must also have demonstrated leadership of successful process improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated previous focus on process development and implementation that span organizational boundaries is important.
• Strong interpersonal skills are required including good written and oral communication capability.
• Ability to effectively influence and direct the actions of those not within the direct reporting chain is essential.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

• This requisition is eligible for an employee referral award. ALL eligibility requirements must be met to receive the referral award.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD – 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
