Job description

We currently have a vacancy for an Enterprise Architect fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.Your tasks

  • Create architecture models that reflect the organization’s strategies and goals;
  • Analyse the current state of the organization’s data analytics technologies, processes, and services to identify areas for improvement and create a plan for future development;
  • Design the transition strategy from current data analytics tools to the target platform;
  • Design Data Warehouse architecture;
  • Design, develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure accurate and timely data integration from multiple sources;
  • Create and maintain data marts and dimensional model, and keep these updated;
  • Implement best practices to ensure the integrity of data;
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of the data warehouse environment;
  • Develop and maintain data models to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval;
  • Participation in data governance initiatives to uphold data quality standards;
  • Participation in technical and business meetings with IT and business stakeholders to identify data needs, clarify requirements, and design solutions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in IT;
  • Experience in data quality applied to Data Warehouse / Data Vault;
  • Experience in using data warehouse and data vault automation tools such as Datavault Builder or Wherescape;
  • Experience in preparing FSD/TSD (Functional/Technical Specification Document) documents from BRD (Business Requirement Document) / Customer Requirements;
  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Excellent knowledge of a version control system such as Git;
  • Excellent knowledge of Data Vault 2.0 modelling and implementation;
  • Excellent knowledge of Enterprise Architecture best practices;
  • Excellent knowledge of Data Warehousing best practices;
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL development in Oracle;
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud platform and related components, SQL Server on Azure, Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse is considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of other programming languages such as Python or JavaScript is considered an asset;
  • A valid certification in a recognized quality assurance standard is considered a plus (i.e. ISTQB), certification in data and analytics testing is considered an asset (i.e. DAU-CDAT);
  • Following certificates & standards are considered assets: Data Vault 2.0 Practitioner certification, Certification in the area of Artificial Intelligence in the data management activities, Certification in Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer, Certification in Microsoft Azure Data Engineer and Certification in Data Vault;
  • Excellent command of the English language.
