The institution is committed to fostering a multicultural environment that emphasizes respect, integrity, collaboration, family, and innovation.Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced and passionate IBDP English Language & Literature Teacher to join the faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching IB Diploma Programme (DP) English Language & Literature and may also contribute to MYP English instruction. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop analytical, interpretative, and communication skills while fostering a love for literature and language.Key Responsibilities:
- Teach IBDP English Language & Literature at both Higher and Standard Levels, ensuring alignment with IB philosophy and assessment standards.
- Guide students through textual analysis, critical thinking, and comparative literature studies, fostering a deep understanding of different genres, media, and cultural contexts.
- Support students with Internal Assessments (IA) and the Extended Essay (EE) in English, helping them develop strong research and academic writing skills.
- Encourage inquiry-based discussions and debates, empowering students to explore diverse perspectives and global issues through literature.
- Incorporate a variety of teaching methodologies, including technology-enhanced learning, creative writing, and interdisciplinary projects.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and align teaching practices with IB learning objectives.
- Promote extracurricular activities, such as literary clubs, debate teams, or student publications, to further develop students’ engagement with language and literature.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field. A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of three years teaching IB Diploma Programme (DP) English Language & Literature or equivalent international curricula.
- Ideally understanding of IB assessment criteria, Internal Assessment (IA), and Extended Essay (EE) supervision.
- Skills: Excellent classroom management, literary analysis expertise, and the ability to inspire students through engaging lessons.
- Preferred: Experience in teaching MYP English Language & Literature.
