Where the team fits in
The Enterprise Technology (known as ETech) team form a part of our Global Technology group which is headed up by our CTO Steve Maidment. The Global Technology group is responsible for providing the technology and data platforms underpinning REA’s products, services, and operations. The team consists of around 160 people, which are distributed across the Launchpad, Enterprise Technology, Security, Workforce Identity and Data Services teams.
ETech is responsible for making REA employees happy and productive by empowering them with technology. We also play an integral role providing strategic, commercial input and guidance around decisions across all levels of the business, while continually improving the ‘behind the scenes’ of REA to support our people, as well as providing support to all other functional areas of the business around the globe.
What the role is all about
Design and manage and the Standard Operating Environment (SOE) across all end-user devices (macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android)
Provide leadership and guidance to the broader ETech team with respect to the delivery of all desktop solutions
Monitor new releases and patches to operating systems and applications, and make recommendations on implementation and testing strategies
Leverage MDM to support Problem Management of end-user devices
Monitor MDM platform to ensure security compliance polices are met and software patch levels are maintained
Develop and streamline support and maintenance processes to standardise device management across REA
Define hardware standards and approve for use within the REA environment
Maintain MDM platform health
Who we’re looking for
Someone with a few runs on the board – 3 years’ experience in MDM design, development and implementation.
Relevant qualifications highly regarded
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a complex technology environment
Looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens
An end-to-end approach to work and projects.
Agile Project Management experience with experience working within small project teams.
Exposure to application packaging and deployment methodologies across Mac and Windows
Exposure to the processes of Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration Management.
Professional documentation skills for use in user training or technical documents.
In depth knowledge of varying desktop, laptop, mobility and peripherals
Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software.
Ability to look at business problems and turn them into technological solutions and translate tech talk into meaningful business talk for our customers
