Electrical Estimator – Main Contractor -Newbridge, KildareOffice/Project Location: Newbridge, KildareEmployment Type: PermanentWork Location: OfficePay: Competitive salary package based on experienceExperience: 5+yearsVisa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa requiredOur client is an award-winning international Design & Build Consultancy and are seeking to appoint an experienced Electrical EstimatorAttend project start-up meetings and make site visits.Produce enquiry schedules for scope of works & packages required from the tender documentation, drawings and specifications issued.Identify tender deliverables required from the Project Designers.Evaluate returned quotations from suppliers and where necessary enters into correspondence with suppliers to bring quotations in line with the project specification requirements.Prepare BOQ for scopes of projects on estimating programs (such as Excel, Causeway, CCS Candy & Kubus).Input to project risk register and attends a project risk meeting in the presence of Estimators, Planning Engineers, Design Co-ordinators and Clients representatives.Attend tender price settlement meetings in the presence of the tender team with Estimating Manager, Attend Tender Handover meetings in the presence of Estimators and projects team.Assist the Estimating Manager in promoting interaction with the appropriate functional leader to facilitate successful development of solutions to problems and estimates.Make tender amendments where applicable utilising client feedback on submitted tenders.As necessary provide supports and respond to tender queries made by project team personnel.In conjunction with the Contract Manager / Senior Management review contract details relevant to the company’s ability to deliver under the contract.Liaising with Business Development personnel and key tendering department personnel re tender upload and submission.Tendering on a variety of HV/MV/LV large-scale projects.RequirementsExperience in an Electrical contracting environment essentialA relevant third level degree and/or an trade backgroundMinimum of five years experience in a similar roleTeam player with a genuine passion for employee developmentAbility to build project from start working closely with engineering, procurement & operational teams.Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional teamPackageCompetitive Salary with company benefits including, bonus, pension, medical allowance, professional membership, 27 days annual leaveThis role offers excellent advancement opportunitiesContactSheila McNeice is the consultant managing this position.If you are a Electrical Estimator interested in roles based inKildare, you can contact Sheila by e-mail or phone +353-1-7978720 for a confidential chat.JobContax do not send CVs to clients without candidate permission.With over 50 years of technical recruitment experience, JobContax is the leading recruiter of Estimators in Kildare and Ireland.Due to the large volume of applications, JobContax may not be able to respond directly to every individual.EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required
