What does a Graduate Electrical Engineer in Energy and Resources do?

• Working on projects as part of a team to develop electrical, control and instrumentation designs for equipment, facilities, components, products and systems.

• Working across a broad range of areas such as electrical HV and LV power distribution, plant controls systems, instrumentation systems, process plants, materials handling, earthing and protection systems.

• Using specialist design software to analyse the performance of electrical installations and designs.

• Initial planning studies to identify and compare options and recommend optimal solutions.

• Preparation of engineering calculations, studies and investigations.

• Developing engineering and design documentation and drawings.
