Since 2011, Raytheon Australia have been contracted to deliver facilities services in support of the Harold E. Holt (HEH) Defence Precinct in Exmouth, Western Australia. Home to the Space Surveillance Telescope (SST), the C-Band Radar and Very Low Frequency (VLF) radio transmission capability, together these systems add a critical contribution to Australia’s space domain awareness and battlespace awareness missions.

Right now, we are experiencing rapid growth and are seeking a bright and energised Environmental, Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager – HEH to join our inspired team.

To support our mission, Raytheon Australia is currently seeking a motivated individual who is ready to work with a diverse, talented, and enthusiastic team on-site in Exmouth WA.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for enabling sustainable work through the application of the principles of human and organisational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with Program Leadership and EHSW Function to develop and implement EHSW Strategy for NCS HEH

  • Coach, mentor and develop direct reports and peers

  • Partnering with Raytheon Australia Functional teams (EHSW, HR, Legal, Contracts etc)

  • Lead CCC arrangements with Customer and other PCBU’s (including meetings, reporting and workshops)

  • Lead Critical Risk Management Program in partnership with the Site Manager and Program Director

  • Oversight EHSW audits (internal and external) for efficient and effective outcomes with a focus on continual improvement

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications (Diploma or Degree)

  • Investigations training required (ICAM, Government Investigations or similar)

  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure

  • Experience partnering in a multi-PCBU environment highly regarded

  • OFSC experience highly regarded

  • Audit qualifications and/or experience highly regarded

  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop peers and reports

  • Knowledge of critical risk management principles or ability to obtain

  • Electrical contractor experience highly regarded

  • Electrical Network Operator experience highly regarded

  • Previous experience in the Defence Industry highly regarded

  • Ability to acquire and maintain NV1 security clearance is mandatory.
