What You Will Do:

As a Remote Site Safety Manager, you’ll oversee Environmental, Health & Safety Programs with responsibility for the management and/or implementation of Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Programs and Projects. Working in remote facilities both domestic and internationally, you’ll use your ability to work alone and unsupervised for extended periods. Additionally, you’ll use your familiarity working with U.S. and foreign military customers in and around military hardware and environments.

This position is responsible for ensuring Raytheon’s compliance to applicable safety and environmental standards and may include the need to provide training for employees, customers, and others. The position will require domestic and/or international travel, including travel aboard military-owned assets and occasional travel to remote or austere environments.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Recommending and managing programs to comply with safety, health and environmental regulations and company policies
• Working proactively to ensure that workplace conditions and employee practices comply with applicable federal, state or local occupational safety and health standards
• Supporting the development and implementation of Environmental, Health and Safety management systems into the business operations to minimize risks and improve organizational performance and predictability

Additional responsibilities will include:

• Managing accurate reporting of metrics preparation (including labor charging and timekeeping)
• Budget recommendations for required health and safety equipment
• Risk and incident report generation
• Periodic safety auditing of customer and internal processes as needed
• Interpreting technical schematics, energy control procedures and hardware operating manuals
• Working in locations with dynamic weather or temperature extremes and sit or stand for extended periods of travel or field work
• Ability to lift 28 pounds unassisted

Travel: 25-50% to Raytheon site locations in foreign countries, including: Europe, Middle East, Far East, Pacific Rim Countries and Africa

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
• Experience working with OSHA and/or EPA standards in a military or civilian environment
• Experience presenting technical documentation to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience presenting technical training materials to stakeholders
• Experience writing reports, business correspondence and procedural documents
• Experience as a Certified Safety Professional.
• 5 -7 years military experience with CAC Card or military retired ID

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD – 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
