The role

As an Editor you will edit and proofread scientific copy and slides for grammatical accuracy and consistency in line with SOPs, applying house style, journal, and client style to a high standard. You will feedback editing comments to members of the scientific team using tracked changes highlighting an areas of uncertainty. You will liaise with our studio and external suppliers to ensure items meet client specification and deadlines and provide general administrative support to the editorial team.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a high-performing team, have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and experience using some/all of the following software: Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, EndNote.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year’s editing experience
  • Life Science Degree required
  • Healthcare agency experience (highly desirable)
  • Copyediting and proofreading skills
  • High standard of English spelling, punctuation, and grammar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced use of Word for editing purposes, e.g., reviewing tools (templates, track changes)
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, EndNote, client databases as required
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to prepare/edit complex slides and figures in PowerPoint
  • Clear understanding of issues relating to reproducing/adapting material and data
