Ecommerce SEO & CRO Intern (Remote)

WebstaurantStore, the world’s largest online restaurant supply company, has created a new Search and Conversion Optimization internship position to expand our world-class search marketing team in this dynamic, fast-growing, and remote-friendly company. This role is meant for a curious, ambitious, results-driven individual who is eager to learn several essential ecommerce marketing skills in a single, immersive internship. Gain invaluable experience in conversion rate optimization (CRO) and the analytical and technical aspects of search engine optimization (SEO).

As a Search & Conversion Optimization Intern, you will: 

• Work with the SEO Analytics team to analyze product categorization and optimize website pages for search visibility and user experience.
• Collaborate with the SEO Data team to conduct technical audits and create detailed reports to identify and address SEO issues.
• Join the CRO team to implement and analyze A/B tests to improve website conversion rates.
• Leverage your analytical skills to optimize website performance in a highly collaborative setting, working with experienced marketing analysts and specialists who possess a wide range of skills.

We are seeking motivated candidates who:

• Are pursuing a degree in digital/ecommerce marketing or communications, or general-ed/liberal arts with some concentration in the marketing domain.
• Have completed coursework that may include marketing foundations; ecommerce foundations; paid media, organic, and social media tactics; analytics; and reporting.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Are self-motivated to complete work assignments
• Able to prioritize and balance multiple responsibilities
• Take initiative and ownership to solve problems independently
• Care about the details, while striving to understand the big picture and drive toward measurable results.
• Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Are a team player who wants to contribute to a thriving culture

Experience in any of the following areas will be an advantage:

• Foundational technologies of the Web, such as HTML, Javascript and CSS.
• SEO and website research tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMRush, RankRanger, et al.
• Analytical and reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Looker Studio, et al.

Remote work qualifications

• Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.

• A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
• A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment.
• The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.
