Position Summary
This training aims to empower owners of home-based businesses (HBBs) with essential e-marketing knowledge and skills. The program focuses on cost-effective and user-friendly digital marketing strategies to enhance business visibility, customer engagement, and sales.
Objective:
To design and deliver a 4-day comprehensive training program on e-marketing for HBBs, covering topics such as social media marketing, website creation, email marketing, and digital advertising.
Scope of Work:
The trainer will:
- Develop a detailed 4-day training agenda aligned with the outlined topics.
- Prepare training materials, presentations, and practical exercises.
- Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions that include lectures, hands-on activities, and case studies.
- Provide practical tools and resources for participants to apply e-marketing techniques to their businesses.
- Guide participants in creating personalized e-marketing strategies tailored to their HBBs.
- Evaluate participants’ progress through activities and final presentations.
Key Deliverables:
The consultant is mandatory requested to:

- Deliver training progress report including the training material summary, approach, recommendations in English
- Conduct the Pre-Survey
- Overview of e-marketing, its importance, and platforms.
- Identifying target audiences and developing buyer personas.
- Selecting the most relevant e-marketing platform.
-Detailed session plans and presentations.
-Handouts, case studies, and activity templates.
-Facilitate the 4-day training, ensuring active participation.
-Provide one-on-one support to participants as needed.
-Summary of training outcomes, challenges, and feedback.
Training Schedule:
Day 1: Introduction to E-Marketing Basics
Day 2: Social Media Marketing for HBBs
- Developing a social media strategy.
- Content creation and scheduling tools.
- Practical exercises in content design using Canva or similar tools.
Day 3: Website and Email Marketing
- Basics of creating a simple website using tools like Wix or Squarespace.
- Essentials of email marketing, including writing compelling emails.
- Integrating social media, websites, and email marketing for a seamless customer journey.
Day 4: Digital Advertising and Evaluation
- Basics of paid advertising on Google and social media.
- Monitoring and evaluating marketing success using analytics tools.
- Final presentations of participants’ e-marketing strategies.
- Conduct the post-Survey.

- Assessment: Pre- and post-surveys conducted to measure learning outcomes.
- Practical Focus: Hands-on preparation and demonstrations.
- Outcomes: The training will enable HBB owners to leverage the power of e-marketing to grow their businesses, improve brand visibility, and build stronger connections with their customers. This, in turn, will contribute to economic empowerment and sustainability for home-based entrepreneurs.
- Time Frame: The training is scheduled to conclude on January 1, 2025.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in e-marketing, particularly for small or home-based businesses.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools, platforms, and strategies (social media, email, websites, analytics, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver training sessions, including preparing materials and facilitating hands-on activities.
- Familiarity with cost-effective tools for small businesses (e.g., Canva, Hootsuite, Wix).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- [Optional: Certification in digital marketing or related fields is a plus.]
