Our client is seeking an experienced Design/Project Engineer to join their Kilkenny office. This is a senior role offering the opportunity to contribute to major civil, road, and transportation projects while working within a highly skilled and supportive team.Role Overview:
You will play a key part in the preparation and delivery of design projects, from feasibility studies through to detailed design, procurement, and contract administration. The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review feasibility and preliminary designs and reportsProduce detailed and contract drawings using MX Roads or Civil 3DLiaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authoritiesManage procurement of sub-consultants, site investigations, and road contracts (including pricing schedules and bills of quantities)Prepare and assess tenders, and administer construction contractsEnsure projects are delivered on time, to specification, and within budgetRequirements:Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering (Engineers Ireland accredited or equivalent)Level 9 Master’s Degree an advantage5+ years’ relevant experience (civil, roads, or transportation projects)Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and MX Roads/Civil 3DExcellent written and verbal English communication skillsStrong interpersonal and stakeholder management skillsDesirable:Knowledge of TII Publications, DMURS, and Irish design standardsExperience in contract administration and tender processesWhat’s on Offer:Permanent, full-time role with competitive salary (commensurate with experience)Paid professional membership and expensesOpportunity to work with a dynamic and experienced teamCommitment to professional development and career progression
