An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead a new central team providing planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and out of hours cover for a vast range of newly installed Plant & Equipment as a Depot Facilities Team Leader with a well-established Rail transportation client based in Cambridge.Role Overview
The Team Leader will be “hands on” and provide out of hours cover on a 1 in 4 rota (an on call allowance will apply) with 3 other Technicians. This role will be working an Afternoon/evening Shift Monday – Friday 7 hours a day (35 Hours a week).You will lead the team, organise workloads, organise on call cover and liaise with Management when required. you will also need to ensure that our clients staff and contractors work safely within this challenging environment. You will be required to travel around the Greater Anglia area to other sites our client is requiring your support.This role may include working on the following:

  • General depot maintennace
  • Train washer systems
  • Plant equipment
  • Refulling machinery
  • Sandbox systems
  • numatic systems

What we are Looking for
This role will be based at our clients Cambridge Depot and will suit a multi-skilled engineer with supervisory experience, preferably from a property or industrial maintenance background, both electrical and mechanically trained to at least C&G Level 3 or ONC. A recognised safety qualification will be required but can be provided along with railway specific training assuming the strict PTS medical fitness can be met.If you are a driven and innovative Depot Facilities Team Leader with a passion for the rail industry, we want to hear from you!
