About the role
As a Demi Chef at Hyatt Place Caribbean Park Melbourne, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. In this full-time position, you will work alongside our talented culinary team to prepare and cook delicious meals in our award-winning HOTEL RESTAURANT OF THE YEAR, ARCHIE’S RESTAURANT & BAR based in Scoresby, Victoria.
What you’ll be doing:

Assist the Head Sous Chef in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes

Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards

Contribute to the development of new menu items and recipes

Manage and train junior kitchen staff

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen at all times

Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed

Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations

Support the planning and execution of events and catering functions

Proven experience as a Demi Chef or similar role

Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques

Strong leadership and management skills

Capability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Flexible to work various hours, including evenings and weekends
