Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

12 years of experience with Linux and Windows technologies and architecture/infrastructure in compute infrastructure, supporting, developing, maintaining cloud solutions.

Experience designing, deploying, and managing enterprise solutions.
-
Experience in leading technical teams in an operational environment.
-
The role requires the applicant to hold and maintain NV2 Clearance.
Preferred qualifications:

Experience working in data center operations.

Experience automating common tasks to improve resilience.

Experience implementing projects in a customer-focused, fast-changing environment.

Knowledge of enterprise-grade operating systems, working in Linux/Unix/WSL, Kubernetes, and network administration.

Understanding of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), AD group policies and hardening practices.

Understanding of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) environments.
As a Delivery and Operations Tech Lead, you will lead a team of engineers who deliver and operate and support private cloud for our most security conscious customers. You will maintain the operational tempo, balancing the tactical and strategic work across infrastructure, integration, delivery, operations, and support functions. You will play a key role in strategy for the area and will build a sustainable and high performing engineering team. You will ensure a secure, stable and reliable operations center, while advocating for our customer and operator needs. You will be a key point of escalation during incidents, troubleshooting technical problems with a mix of networking, infrastructure, system administration and engineering skills, whilst calling on a range of other experts across Google.

Manage the deployment and configuration of air-gapped cloud solutions.

Deliver, run and maintain the cloud, including the supporting networking and cross-domain solutions technologies needed for high security deployments.

Be responsible for ensuring the operations centre IT and observability platforms support the needs of the operations team and are conducive to maintaining a good service.

Manage engineering teams to help design, deploy and manage solutions.

Troubleshoot and coordinate with engineering regarding any issues that may arise with infrastructure and escalate to product teams as needed.
