What you’ll do…

As a Dealer Sales and Development Manager, you will be the primary contact for Ford in your assigned region. You will build relationships with our Dealers by advocating for their needs and working closely with them to achieve sales targets, improve customer satisfaction, and ultimately drive growth and profitability for both the Dealer and Ford.

The role will be split between our regional office located in Sydney and traveling to a mix of metro-based and rural Dealerships. This role will be reporting directly to our Regional Manager – Eastern Region (NSW & ACT).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with Dealer staff across all areas of their business, with specific focus on new vehicle sales.

  • Counsel and assist Dealers in achieving their sales, profit, and customer satisfaction objectives, including monitoring their performance against key metrics such as vehicle sales, customer satisfaction scores, and market share

  • Support Dealers in areas of marketing, business planning, retailing, supply, and profitability, including developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to increase vehicle sales and providing guidance on inventory management and supply chain optimization.

  • Target specific dealerships with development projects to address prioritized issues, such as improving sales processes, enhancing customer service, or optimizing inventory management. Ensure the implementation of effective solutions to improve their performance and achieve key objectives.

  • Effectively present various Marketing and Sales programs to Dealers to maximize engagement and implementation, for the mutual benefit of the Dealer and Ford.

You’ll have…

  • Minimum 5 years automotive industry experience in a Sales Management / Dealer Development Role

  • A passion for inspiring and motivating others to achieve their sales goals, with a proven ability to build relationships and foster a collaborative work environment.

  • Proven ability to analyse complex data, extract key insights, and communicate them effectively to drive informed decision-making.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field.

  • Experience in developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns for automotive Dealerships.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and exceeding customer expectations.

  • Strong financial acumen and business understanding.

  • Excellent project planning and management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with Ford products and sales processes.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
