itContracting are seeking applicants for a Data Analyst to join the team of their Dublin based client.Location: Dublin 1- Hybrid 50/50
Job Type: Contract – 6 months initially – further 6-month extensionRole Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise and specialist knowledge in data analytics in the support of the PMO Management in order to ensure the efficient, accurate, up to date reporting on Programme/Portfolio/Project data.
  • Develop and report data analysis findings regularly and collaboratively with PMO team members
  • Ensure appropriate outcome of assigned tasks that has been completed is communicated clearly and effectively
  • Maintain and develop data analytics sources/tools/processes/procedures to ensure the PMO Operations Team can design, develop and deliver reporting on data
  • Provide relevant skills transfer and coaching to team members to share expertise and ensure that the necessary skills, competencies and knowledge are being developed and leveraged across the team, as appropriate.
  • Work co-operatively with PMO Management and team members to ensure all deliverables are to a high quality.
  • Carry out such other ad-hoc analyst activities as may be determined by the PMO Management team.

Requirements:

  • A third level honours degree or professional qualification in statistics, business analytics, computer science, maths, finance, economics, risk or any related professional discipline.
  • Minimum 4-6 years’ relevant experience in data analytics roles within industry, academia, and/ or relevant financial services. Relevant experience includes: working in data analytics/data
  • Experience in applying data analytics in a business context and practical knowledge of relevant analytics software tools and infrastructure.
  • Science, statistical consulting/applied research roles, business intelligence, or data-focused risk analysis within the financial services sector.
  • Understanding of the application of data analytics in a business context and practical knowledge of relevant analytics software tools and infrastructure
  • Ability to critically assess issues and recommend/implement solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in particular the ability to relate to senior management and staff.
  • Proficiency in: MS SharePoint 2016MS ExcelMS Power BI
  • Proficiency in coaching / training / skills transfer
