Accommodation is available upon request for candidates taking part in the selection process.Job Title: CSRD Implementation and Reporting ManagerHow does this role contribute to our collective success?AXIS is hiring a CSRD/EU Taxonomy Implementation Manager to oversee the implementation of and ensure compliance with the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the EU Taxonomy.This role will be the subject matter expert / key point of contact within the organisation on this topic, and the role provides a breadth of exposure to multiple departments / jurisdictions across AXIS.The role will involve both working independently, and with the Finance and Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) teams, to ensure successful preparation for and completion of high-quality deliverables in compliance with external reporting requirements.What will you do in this role?Develop and implement long-term roadmap for CSRD/EU Taxonomy complianceLead the implementation of compliant CSRD reporting with support from external advisors and the internal multi-disciplinary project team. This includes:Execution and refreshes of double materiality assessment under CSRDIdentification of gaps against the CSRD and EU Taxonomy requirementsWork with cross functional teams including ESG, Human Resources (HR), Legal etc to update policies, establish metrics/targets and mitigation action plans to close gapsIdentification of data requirements and creation of the data and measurement framework through system solutionsCollect, validate and consolidate required reporting dataDevelopment of an audit-ready control framework and governance structure for CSRD reportingComplete Dry Run and prepare draft disclosures for CSRD and EU TaxonomyPrepare the final CSRD/EU Taxonomy disclosureManagement of the assurance process with external auditorsManage relationship with relevant external consultantsPartner closely with full range of departments who will provide input into CSRD/EU Taxonomy compliance, as well as the global, cross-functional teams responsible for global ESG strategy/implementation (including Climate risk and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (“DEI”) strategies) and global ESG disclosure (Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (“TCFD”), The Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (“SASB”), Securities and Exchange Commission “SEC”))Provide project update/status reporting to Group and legal entity governance forums where appropriateMonitoring of CSRD/EU Taxonomy developments and serving as a subject-matter expertPreparing for and implementing new European Sustainability Reporting Standards (“ESRSs”) as they are published e.g. sector specific standards, third country standardsProvide guidance and training to senior management and business resource on ESG reporting regulationsYou may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.About You:We encourage you to bring your own experience and expertise to the table, so while there are some qualifications and experiences, we need you to have, we are open to discussing how your individual knowledge might lend itself to fulfilling this role and help us achieve our goals.What you need to have:Qualified accountant with 10 years post-qualified experience, preferably in External Financial ReportingExperience interpreting and applying new regulatory reporting requirements.Experience with data and data analysis and enthusiasm for data driven disclosureDemonstrated experience in systems implementation and maintenance.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Experience managing teams / direct reportsWhat we prefer you to have:Interest in and passion for ESG reporting, including familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks such as CSRD, TCFD or SASBWhat we offer:You will be eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package which includes medical plans for you and your family, health and wellness programs, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, paid annual leave, and much more.
