What’s the role?

An exciting opportunity for a Court Reporter to join Australia’s largest media organisation. Work for News Corps NewsWire providing valuable content for all mastheads, news.com.au and the Australian as well as external clients.

This is a fulltime, permanent position based out of our Surry Hills, Sydney office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create unique and engaging news stories and features

  • Write both hard-hitting news and engaging features

  • Work under deadline pressure in a fast paced newsroom

  • Contribute to a multimedia newsroom serving one of Australia’s largest masthead across digital and print platforms

  • Some weekend and intra-state travel may be required

Who are you?

  • A history of court reporting for print and online

  • Proven track record of delivering front page stories

  • Display a good understanding of social media and its application to your stories

  • A solid understanding of news writing, journalistic ethics and media law

  • High levels of personal organisation and time management

  • Flexibility around working days and hours

  • Must have personal driver’s licence
