  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic business plan tailored to the ANZ market that aligns with ZOLL’s global and regional goals.

  • Provide motivational leadership to all functional departments within the country, including sales, operations, customer support, marketing, and regulatory affairs.

  • Collaborate with regional and global management teams to ensure alignment on market priorities, strategic initiatives, and business objectives.

  • Build and communicate a clear vision and mission for the business, cultivating a high-performance culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and results.

  • Drive ZOLL Medical’s positioning as a leader and trusted partner in resuscitation and critical care technology across ANZ.

Sales and Revenue Growth

  • Lead and drive the overall revenue growth strategy for the ANZ market, maximising market share and expanding Zoll’s presence in new and existing customer segments.

  • Directly oversee the sales organisation, setting sales targets, managing key accounts, and optimising the performance of sales representatives and distributors.

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including emerging market trends, strategic partnerships, and distribution networks, to generate sustainable revenue growth.

  • Implement best practices in pipeline management, sales forecasting, customer segmentation, and market penetration strategies, ensuring accurate and actionable insights.

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, healthcare providers, industry partners, and government bodies.

Sales Leadership and Strategy Development

  • Develop and execute a robust sales strategy aligned with global and regional objectives, driving significant revenue growth and expanding market share in ANZ.

  • Lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing sales team, cultivating a results-oriented culture centred on accountability, motivation, and customer success.

  • Identify and prioritise key growth opportunities, new customer segments, and emerging markets, developing strategic go-to-market plans to capitalise on these opportunities.

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive sales funnel, using tools and systems to accurately forecast and report sales performance, key wins, and potential risks.

Customer Acquisition, Retention, and Key Account Management

  • Drive new customer acquisition through targeted prospecting, lead generation, and relationship building, ensuring ZOLL’s solutions align with market needs and customer expectations.

  • Maintain and grow relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and industry partners, ensuring customer satisfaction, long-term loyalty, and advocacy.

  • Collaborate closely with sales representatives and distributor partners to identify key accounts, develop account-specific strategies, and deliver tailored value propositions.

  • Actively engage in customer meetings, site visits, and presentations, demonstrating deep knowledge of ZOLL’s product portfolio and their clinical and operational benefits.

  • Act as an escalation point for complex customer issues, demonstrating a commitment to quick problem resolution and building trust and credibility with key accounts.

Operational Excellence and Efficiency

  • Oversee and collaborate with all country-level operational functions, including supply chain, logistics, warehousing, customer service, and tech service operations, to ensure smooth and efficient business processes.

  • Optimise resource allocation, cost management, and process efficiency to deliver cost-effective solutions and improve overall operational performance.

  • Work closely with internal departments such as global operations, marketing, sales, HR, finance, regulatory, and product management to ensure seamless collaboration and integration.

  • Drive and monitor the execution of quality improvement initiatives, leveraging technology, data, and process enhancements to deliver outstanding service to customers.

Customer Service and Technical Support

  • Ensure that the highest standards of customer service and technical support are delivered to customers and stakeholders across the region.

  • Serve as a key escalation point for critical customer issues, demonstrating a commitment to resolving problems promptly and effectively.

  • Foster a culture of customer-centricity, prioritising responsiveness, proactive communication, and continuous improvement in service delivery.

Team Building and Talent Development

  • Work with HR and other departments to recruit, hire, onboard, and develop talent to create a high performing, engaged, and motivated team that embodies ZOLL Medical’s values and culture.

  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and career development opportunities to direct reports, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and results-driven work environment.

  • Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and drive accountability and recognition for strong performance.

Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Ensure strict compliance with local and regional regulatory requirements, industry standards, and ZOLL Medical’s internal policies governing the sale and distribution of medical devices.

  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies to facilitate timely product registrations, approvals, and market access, ensuring adherence to all regulatory guidelines.

  • Champion a safety-first culture and drive the continuous improvement of quality management systems, policies, and procedures across all business functions.

Financial and P&L Management

  • Take full ownership of the ANZ country P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.

  • Implement effective financial controls, cost controls, and performance metrics to monitor and drive business results.

  • Identify and manage risks, ensuring financial transparency and adherence to fiscal discipline across all operational areas.

  • Collaborate closely with regional and local finance teams to deliver accurate reporting, financial analysis, and recommendations for strategic decision-making.

External Relations and Market Advocacy

  • Represent ZOLL Medical in public forums, industry conferences, healthcare events, and community engagements to strengthen brand awareness and enhance credibility.

  • Foster and cultivate key relationships with government agencies, healthcare organisations, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to influence healthcare policy and drive market access.

  • Partner with industry associations, public health bodies, and other influential organisations to promote ZOLL Medical’s products and initiatives.

Innovation and Market Adaptation

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and technology advancements relevant to ZOLL Medical’s products and solutions.

  • Drive product innovation, market adaptation, and customer-centric initiatives, leveraging customer feedback, industry research, and market data.

  • Work closely with the product management, engineering, and marketing teams to tailor offerings to market demands and regulatory requirements.

Change Management and Organisational Agility

  • Lead and drive organisational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and the smooth implementation of new processes, technologies, or organisational structures.

  • Foster an environment of agility and continuous improvement, enabling the business to respond swiftly and effectively to evolving market conditions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare, or a related field is required; master’s degree (MBA, MHA) preferred.

  • Experience: At least 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in the healthcare, medical device, or related industry, with significant experience in a country or regional leadership role.

  • Proven Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, inspire and engage employees, and achieve organisational objectives.

  • Commercial and Strategic Acumen: Expertise in developing and executing business plans, sales strategies, and market growth initiatives that drive revenue and profitability.

  • Operational Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of supply chain, customer service, quality, and regulatory operations.

  • Financial Acumen: Strong ability to manage P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

  • Customer and Stakeholder Focus: Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, industry leaders, and regulatory bodies.

  • Communication and Influence: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences and drive alignment.

Work Environment:This role involves significant travel within Australia and New Zealand and occasional International travel. The Country Manager will work in a fast-paced, results-driven, and collaborative environment, requiring strong adaptability, resourcefulness, and customer focus.Key Skills
