Country Coordinator for Endline Study across 6 countries in West Africa– Remote
Job Description
Role: Country Coordinator (Remote)
- Altamont Group is seeking a dedicated Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant to support our client as a REMOTE Country Coordinator for an Endline Study.
- The Country Coordinator will coordinate in-country consultants across 6 countries in West Africa, ensuring they comply with our data gathering protocols and budgetary parameters.
- The Country Coordinator will remotely oversee data collection and then validate the data for all 6 countries. This role is essential to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data collection.
- Once the data is validated, the Country Coordinator will complete the initial analysis providing qualitative and quantitative findings as well as a high level findings report.
- The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of collected data. This role requires close collaboration with In-Country Consultants, the Lead M&E Consultant and the Data Analyst to enhance the data quality.
Deliverables include:
- Coordinate In-Country Consultants
- Remote oversight of 6 in country consultants
- Relationship management with 6 country offices
- Oversee development of in-country data collection plans and budgets, in alignment with approved sampling and budgets
- Coordinate with in-country consultants and project teams to ensure alignment on data-related activities
- Oversee in-country teams, including consultants and enumerators for evaluations
- Facilitate regular meetings and workshops to review data findings and discuss improvements
- Validate data collection plans and budgets in each country
- Oversee enumerator recruitment and hiring
- Data Validation and Quality Assurance:
- Oversee implementation of data validation protocols and quality assurance processes
- Manage and coordinate data collection via Kobo
- Monitor Kobo daily to ensure data is being properly collected and saved
- Conduct regular data audits and validation checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness
- Identify and resolve data quality issues and discrepancies promptly
- Ensure data is gathered according to the project’s sampling strategy
- Code and collate data as per established protocols
- Clean, code, and validate quantitative and qualitative data from each country
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to generate insights
- Develop methods for data analysis for each country’s evaluations
- Prepare comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain detailed documentation of data validation and analysis processes
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Sciences, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, or a related field
- MUST be fluent in French and English
- Proven experience in data validation and quality assurance
- Experience working in international development or with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) is an asset
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Robust expertise with Kobo and KoboCollect
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with database management
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Expertise in Office 365 including Word, PPT, Excel, SharePoint
- Analytical and multitasking skills
- Ability to manage deadlines efficiently
- Strong critical thinking ability
- Ability to work independently
