Meta is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a full-time position on our global Corporate Accounting team, based in our Dublin office. The successful candidate will be a top academic performer with multinational experience in the area of financial accounting / reporting. In this position you will be given the opportunity to problem solve, drive process improvements and exercise good business judgment while performing your function.Corporate Accountant ResponsibilitiesWork within a Corporate Accounting global process function, with responsibility for key financial reporting areas (P&L and BS)Help define and implement scalable accounting processes related to month-end and quarter-end financial closeContribute to the quarterly SEC reporting cycleCoordinate and review the work of our outsourced partnersOversee US GAAP month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysisPartner with our global team to optimize worldwide processes, systems & controlsLead projects to identify, design, test and roll-out new financial reporting systems and toolsEnsure compliance with key controls and audit requirements, and provide accounting support to our statutory compliance teamsCreate close business partnerships and manage service levels with third party service providersMinimum QualificationsRecognized accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA)Relevant industry PQE (Post-Qualification Experience) with large, fast-growing, multinational companySolid knowledge of US GAAP and SOX (IFRS and local GAAP is also desirable)Demonstrated computer and analytical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel (experience with Oracle ERP and/or Hyperion Essbase is an advantage)Team player and leader who is very comfortable working as part of a larger team distributed across multiple geographic locationsDemonstrated planning, analytical, interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated attention to detail yet possesses an understanding of the ‘big picture’ and the importance of risk mitigation and a controls environmentOrganized and thorough with desire for continuous improvementLocationsAbout MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
