We advise some of the world’s largest companies and engage with international stakeholders at the most senior levels. We believe the future’s most successful energy and resource firms will be those that manage these risks better than their competitors.We have two main goals: to provide authoritative, independent analysis on such issues; and to assist clients to manage them in a strategic, forward-thinking, and responsible way.Our core team brings together high-level experience working for major global institutions, government and several major energy and resource firms. Our network of senior advisors spans over 75 countries and includes former senior executives in global companies, former ambassadors, government ministers, civil society leaders and other leading opinion formers.The opportunity:A Consulting Associate is required to work as part of our London-based core team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to and gain experience across a broad range of our work. Depending on the requirements, this may include tasks such as:

  • Supporting the team on client assignments, including research into socio-political issues around resource projects as well as on broader global issues, contributing to analyses for client reports, preparing notes following conversations with regional or issue experts and supporting project managers in successful delivery of the client projects
  • Supporting business development, including researching opportunities across the world, preparing materials for meetings or conferences, supporting senior team members in their business development outreach, and participating in meetings and calls
  • Contributing to case studies, articles for our website and notes of interviews with international experts
  • Organizing and helping to manage high-level events; supporting the coordination of our global advisory network

  • A strong academic record
  • Excellent writing ability in English
  • Strong analytical and research skills; ability to quickly grasp and dissect complex issues
  • Strong interest in global business trends, political/international issues, the natural resource industries and the intersection between them
  • Good communication skills
  • A high level of proficiency in French or Spanish is desirable (other languages may also be considered)
  • Good IT skills, including familiarity with PowerPoint & Word

Location:Central London (nearest tube stations – Aldgate, Liverpool Street, Bank)Time & availability required:Permanent, full-time position with a three-month probationary period, starting as soon as possible.
