Site Engineer – Building Contractor – MayoOffice/Project Location: MayoEmployment Type: PermanentWork Location: Site BasedPay: €45K-€60K, Negotiable depending on experienceExperience: 2+yearsVisa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa requiredOur client is a well established building and civil contractor based in Co MayoThey work on a wide variety of projects within the construction industry from commercial, large scale residential, retail builds to civil engineering projectsSite Engineer is required to join the team to setout works in accordance with the information provided.Carry out level surveys as required of existing ground level, soil strip level, reduced level dig, actual foundation levels, soft spots, and other relevant items. Collate and record all results in the designated paper and electronic formats.Be fully familiar with the drawings, specifications, Bill of Quantities, and programme for the project.Act as assistant to the Site Manager and/or Senior Site Engineer in the management and co-ordination of activities and site personnel, including sub-contractors.Supervise elements of the works and compile and maintain records of such supervision in accordance with site procedures.Regularly inspect the works for compliance with specification, quality of workmanship, adherence to programme, and maintenance of safety standards.Monitor and survey the works at frequent intervals and prepare as-built information and drawings.Ensure that the sampling and testing of materials is carried out and recorded in accordance with specification.Ensure that the quality management system and quality control procedures are implemented, that inspections take place, and that records are kept.Work in close liaison with the site management team to ensure that the works proceed safely, on programme, and within budgets.RequirementsA third level Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent2 years+ experience is requiredFully proficient with different types of instrumentationSound knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standardsValid Safe Pass or equivalent certificationProficiency in all MS packagesAbility to work on their own initiativeAccuracy and attention to detail are keyMust have fluent English and be eligible to work in IrelandExcellent remuneration package available for the right candidatePackage€45k – €60k, negotiable based on experienceContactSheila McNeice is the consultant managing this position.If you are a Site Engineer interested in roles based in Mayo, you can contact Sheila by e-mail sheila@jobcontax.com or phone 091 395625 for a confidential chat.JobContax do not send CVs to clients without candidate permission.With over 50 years of technical recruitment experience, JobContax is the leading recruiter of Site Engineers in Ireland.EU passport or Stamp 4 visa requiredTAGCON
