Amazon, the world’s most customer-centric company, is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of its Australia and Asia-Pacific (APAC) fulfillment center network.
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and construction of new fulfillment centers, as well as the expansion and enhancement of existing facilities.
As a key member of the Australia Operations team, you will drive the development and implementation of the regional facility infrastructure, analyzing different scenarios and designs to optimize operations.
This includes: responsibility for project managing new Fulfillment Center’s (FC), Sort centers (ATS) and Delivery Stations (AMZL) So planning, design and construction and the extension of existing facilities and any new sites.
The role will include upwards of 40% travel to all APAC locations.

Key job responsibilities
Lead construction engineering, planning, and design for new fulfillment centers and expansion projects
Manage project scopes, coordinate engineering and design efforts, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality outcomes
Prepare technical reports, specifications, and analyses to define design requirements and solutions
Oversee the execution of new facility construction and remodel projects, providing technical direction on layouts, schedules, and materials
Negotiate contracts with general contractors and trade partners, ensuring cost-effectiveness and appropriate service level agreements
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders on IT readiness, facility turnover, and ongoing operations
Coach and guide project teams throughout the full lifecycle, ensuring resource performance and addressing any issues
Review designs for compliance with current standards and identify value engineering opportunities
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of project management, real estate development, architecture/design experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
