Company: MercerDescription:What you can expect:The Compliance & Risk Analyst will report to the Chief Risk Officer (“CRO”) & Chief Compliance Officer (“CCO”) within Mercer Ireland Limited. MIL is a MiFID Investment Firm authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland under the European Union (Markets in Financial Instruments), Regulations 2017 (the “MiFID II Regulations”). MIL is also authorised as an ‘Insurance / Reinsurance Intermediary’ under the European Communities (Insurance Mediation) Regulations (2005) (the “IMR”). This position will be responsible for assisting in the oversight and management of regulatory and other risks in respect of Mercer’s business in Ireland and other jurisdictions relevant to that business. This role is 50% risk and 50% compliance role. On a day to day basis, the Compliance & Risk Analyst clients will be the CCO & CRO, other local members of the Legal, Compliance and Public Affairs team and colleagues in the business. We will rely on you to:Assist the CCO & CRO in:

• Developing and maintaining policies and procedures supporting a culture of integrity, risk management and excellence within the business in Ireland
• Carrying out Compliance monitoring testing on the businesses i.e. the 1st line of defence to ensure they comply with key regulations, MMC, Mercer and local policies and procedures
• Assisting with the identification of potential risks and financial services compliance issues associated with new products and services
• Preparing various reports for senior members of the Compliance & Risk function
• Promoting quality enhancement measures
• Responding to Data Access Subject Requests
• Supporting the governance process relating to the business and the entities that host this (most notably the Executive Risk Committee and the Board).

Assist the Risk & Compliance Function in:

• Collating reporting to boards to the Executive Risk Committee, the Board Risk & Compliance Committee & the Board
• Conducting risk assessments to identify regulatory, operational and reputational risk in the business
• Monitoring Complaints & assisting with the Complaint Management process
• Coordinating and conducting periodic compliance training for employees relating to regulated activities and corporate group policies
• Assist with delivery of the annual risk management plan.
• Correspondence with regulators, involvement in regulatory examinations and filing of regulatory reports
• Assist with 2nd line oversight of outsourcing.
• Help to co-ordinate and compile the quarterly KRI report.
• Assist in ad hoc risk reviews

What you will need to have:

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role.
• An understanding of the Irish regulatory landscape of MIFID investment firm and
• Reasonable business writing and communication skills
