A prestigious international law firm is seeking a talented junior to mid-level Competition Associate to join its highly respected Brussels practice. Working within a team known for its involvement in some of the most prominent and complex antitrust matters globally, this role offers immediate exposure to high-profile work spanning merger control, cartel investigations, abuse of dominance matters, and broader regulatory issues.The practice encourages associates to maintain a varied caseload, enabling close client engagement and the development of deep commercial understanding. Around half of the role is expected to involve merger control matters, with the remainder covering a mix of EU competition investigations, state aid, public procurement, and regulatory litigation. Associates regularly collaborate with colleagues across the firm’s corporate, disputes, and IP practices, providing clients with fully integrated legal support.The successful candidate will be qualified in a European jurisdiction, have solid experience in EU competition law, and be comfortable handling complex legal and commercial issues. A strong academic record, excellent drafting and communication skills, and a high level of professionalism are essential. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment will be key.
