- Ensure that Benenden Health and its subsidiaries adheres to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain high standards of corporate governance.
- Effectively communicate between the board of directors and executive management
- Accountable for providing company secretariat services to the Group.
- Working with the Head of Governance and Risk to ensure that governance and compliance activities are aligned and support the business strategy.
- Delivery of corporate governance support and policy framework to the Group.
- Manage Benenden Health’s Annual General Meeting, including the preparation of notices and resolutions
- Support the chair of each Board in ensuring that the Board functions efficiently and effectively
- Arranging Board and Board Committee meetings including issuing of notices of meetings
Skills and Experience
- Comprehensive experience working in corporate governance, ideally in a similar role and preferably in the regulated insurance or financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance principles and regulatory requirements.
- Preferred member of the Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to influence at all levels.
- Confident communicator with comprehensive organisational skills and close attention to detail.
- A proactive professional and productive approach.
- Solution-focused and innovative in overcoming complex challenges and managing change.
- High degree of discretion and professionalism
