We are currently expanding our service to meet the needs of a wider population and are looking for community mental health practitioners to join the team.The posts available would be located across South Staffordshire, including Lichfield and Tamworth, Burton and Uttoxeter, Cannock, and Stafford and Seisdon.The Intensive Life Skills Pathway is a multi-disciplinary mental health team providing assessment and intervention for adults experiencing complex emotional difficulties across East and West Staffordshire as part of the Adult Mental Health Service.Main duties of the job

A range of additional therapeutic models are utilised including attachment theory, behavioural theory, Compassion-Focussed Therapy, EMDR, Trauma-Focussed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mentalisation-Based Treatment, and DBT informed interventions.The team works in a highly psychologically minded way and are passionate about working with service-users who present with high levels of emotional distress and who often have histories of complex trauma and/or adverse experiences. Applicants should have an interest in working with this client group, and an awareness of relevant evidence based interventions.The successful candidate will be expected to undertake holistic comprehensive assessments and formulation of complex clinical presentations, including risk assessments and risk management.The role will involve delivering group based and individual interventions in line with the pathway model and utilising Structured Clinical Management (SCM). An understanding of this model would be desirable, but training, support and supervision are offered within the service.
