Community Engagement&Communication Asst. in Holyoke, Massachusetts

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include: Support community needs
assessment and outreach strategies, data collection, data entry, and
assessment records maintenance: ? Assist with planning community needs
assessments and outreach efforts for Spanish-speaking audiences in
Holyoke, Springfield and Chicopee. ? Help gather and analyze data from
surveys, questionnaires, evaluation and community meetings, and other
community engagement activities; evaluate effectiveness and make
recommendations on future outreach strategies. ? Prepare reports on
engagement and outreach impact, challenges, opportunities for use in
internal and external communications, and presentations. ? Accurately
input outreach and event data and statistics into to agency database.
Provide administrative assistance for communications and promotional
materials: ? Ensure that materials are well-stocked, organized, and
up-to-date. ? Serve as point person for ordering Spanish-English print
materials and promotional items. ? Work with department staff to
distribute informational materials, maintain updated mailing lists, and
coordinate and implement mailings. ? Assist with creating social media
posts for Spanish-speaking audiences to promote community engagement
messaging and outreach efforts. ? Respond to social media
communications, comments, and inquiries and help facilitate online
conversations and build community connections. Manage community
engagement event and activity schedule and logistics: ? Plan and
communicate event logistics, including venue selection, set-up,
catering, audio/visual needs, decorations. ? Track and monitor event
budgets and secure vendor quotes and contracts. ? Coordinate with
vendors, volunteers, and department staff to ensure seamless event
execution. ? Co-facilitate and attend community tabling opportunities,
focus groups, town halls, and group listening sessions, as requested. ?
Help recruit volunteers for community engagement and outreach purposes,
i.e. students, agency partners, community members, provider partners,
etc. Provide general office support as requested: ? Respond to calls and
email inquiries about Alianza and its community engagement, and outreach
events and activities; forward inquiries to appropriate staff. ?
Participate in training opportunities and build knowledge of the
domestic violence field. ? Attend bi-weekly all staff meetings and
agency-wide events. ? Maintain the necessary confidentiality of the
staff and individuals served by the organization at all times. ? Other
duties as assigned. Desired Skills and Qualifications: ? Minimum
requirement is a High school diploma; an associate degree is preferred.
? Bi-lingual in English/Spanish. ? Proficient with internet research,
Google platform, and Microsoft programs; knowledge and understanding of
social media/chat platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, WhatsApp,
etc.) and how they can be utilized for community outreach. ? Familiar
with databases, data entry, and electronic records management. ? Strong
interpersonal and communication skills. ? Ability to represent Alianza
in the community in a professional manner. ? Must have reliable personal
transportation, a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and an
acceptable driving record, and be able to travel locally for outreach
events and meetings. ? Some night and weekend availability required. ?
Must pass a CORI background check. This is a full-time non-union
position with a starting hourly rate of $20 – $22/hr. and full paid
benefits. The Assistant position works a hybrid schedule consisting of
in-person attendance for community engagement work and meetings,
in-office time, and work-from-home hours. During the 3-month
introductory period, this position requires in-person hours in Alianza?s
