The Communications Technician will be a team player, reporting to the Communications Engineer lead. Contributing to the ongoing delivery of existing product solutions, and the development of new products, focused on Communication protocols.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities :

Support the Communications Engineer lead such as.

• Support and development of the current products.

• Resolve customer technical communication issues.

• Configuration and test of communications hardware.

• Preparation of configuration and test documentation for internal and external use.

• Generate comprehensive technical design documentation relating to customer communication requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• HND/HNC (or equivalent) in electrical / electronic / telecommunication engineering OR experience in communications setup for industrial products.

• Proven experience in the configuration and test of physical layer communications (e.g. RS232, RS485, Ethernet, GSM/GPRS, Fibre COMMs, WIFI).

• Proficient in the use of oscilloscopes and multi-meters.

• Experienced in soldering and wire loom assembly.

Desired Characteristics:

• HND/HNC (or equivalent) in electrical / electronic / telecommunication engineering OR experience in communications setup for industrial products.
