The Red Gate Group is seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in Springfield, VA. This critical role focuses on crafting and refining high-impact communication materials, facilitating strategic messaging, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. As a trusted advisor to NGA IPC leadership, the Communications Specialist will develop and execute strategic communication plans, author compelling content, and ensure the accuracy, clarity, and relevance of materials for senior NGA leadership and key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive IPC strategic communications plan to support the organization’s role in NGA’s planning and programming processes.

Assist IPC leadership with crafting strategic messaging for internal and external stakeholders, including ODNI and IPC workforce audiences.

Review, edit, and format all strategic communications for adherence to agency publication standards and policies, ensuring clarity, consistency, and brevity.

Coordinate themes and talking points for NGA communications to maintain alignment with agency goals.

Collaborate with subject matter experts and visual information specialists to create accurate, engaging, and compelling communication materials.

Facilitate and moderate senior-level meetings, offsites, and strategic engagements, providing key takeaways and actionable insights.

Analyze audience needs and tailor communication methods and messages for maximum impact.

Provide guidance on grammar, word usage, logic, and organization to improve the quality of IPC products.

Lead change management efforts, ensuring effective communication during organizational shifts that impact the IPC and NGA workforce.

Monitor and manage production schedules to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Minimum eight (8) years of experience and six (6) years of relevant experience.

Active TS/SCI clearance, CI poly preferred

Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Public Affairs, Communications/Broadcasting, Management or at least 6 years of relevant experience in Public Affairs,
Communications/Broadcasting, Management or equivalent relevant fields in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.

Possess at least 8 years of experience.

Demonstrated experience in developing talking points, briefings, official correspondence, and articles for executive level management.

Demonstrated experience in managing tight deadlines, understanding and executing project scope within distinct timelines, managing and monitoring production schedules.

Demonstrated experience of DoD and IC missions, policies, and procedures.
