Job Title: Communications Operator Reports To: Communications Supervisor
Overview: The Communications Operator ensures effective communication and coordination across various departments and emergency services. This role involves operating advanced communication equipment to maintain safety and respond to emergencies 24/7.
Key Responsibilities: – Monitor and respond to alarms and communication systems for multiple departments. – Dispatch personnel for emergencies and service requests. – Maintain documentation related to emergency equipment and services. – Handle resident and guest room reservations, including related paperwork. – Support reception desk during non-business hours and breaks. – Monitor intercom systems and handle package deliveries. – Create and maintain various administrative documents.
Education & Qualifications: – High School Diploma or GED required; college credits in communication or computers preferred. – First responder, and CPR Preferred. – Strong documentation and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements: – Ability to operate equipment and sit for extended periods. – Lift up to 10 pounds and manage various communication tasks.
Working Conditions: – Well-lighted communication center with state-of-the-art equipment. – Exposure to high stress and eye strain.
