Our team

We are a 20+ strong marketing team made up of specialists in communications, brand, social media and content, PR and media, and graphic designers. We are a large yet agile national team, based at Martin Place, Sydney. On any given day we could be working closely with any of our six state corporate teams, liaising with any of our franchisees and their agents, or working with our senior leadership team to bring to life new product launches, campaigns or tech initiatives, all of which work to keep Ray White at the forefront of the industry. We’re a close-knit team with a great culture of rolling up our sleeves and just getting things done.

The role in a nutshell:

The Communications Coordinator role is a 11-month maternity leave cover that will give you the chance to dive headfirst into the thrilling world of Ray White’s marketing team. You’ll support and collaborate with the Head of Marketing to assist with the implementation and execution of our communications strategy. Your focus will be on delivering engaging, informative, and action-inspiring communications to our 12,000+ Ray White members.

 

But specifically that looks like:

Write and deliver exceptional regular communications that are clear, informative, entertaining and inspire action:

  • Support the creation and distribution of our weekly internal newsletter, The Insider for business leaders, sales, property management, operations, commercial and corporate members. 

  • Support the corporate team with any other required internal communications, including fortnightly and/or monthly business updates.

  • Review and edit online content, including our internal communication portal ‘Whiteboard’ and group websites

  • Support corporate members and state teams with the use and training of our internal email platform.

    Support the Communications Team to roll out communications plans for all projects:

  • All key products e.g. One System, digital, core business priorities, major events/training, campaigns and business projects and initiatives. 

  • Work with freelance and external staff (e.g. copywriters/creative agencies) as required

    Regular reporting is key to progress and positive change. To help ensure the marketing team is always moving forward: 

  • Provide regular reporting on BAU communications

  • Provide reporting on major projects including PCR (post-campaign reviews) 

    Support your manager to maintain budgets:

  • Including tracking and submitting invoices 

    Collaborate with wider marketing team to ensure all projects are fully integrated:

  • Project management and campaign support as required

  • Brief writing and working with design studio 

  • Work closely with the media team to ensure alignment of internal and external messages

    Other things to keep in mind: 

  • Adhoc out of hours support may be required especially on social media

  • National and international travel as required

  • Attendance and presentation at conferences and training as required

  • Primarily work across Ray White AU and NZ divisions: Residential, Commercial and Rural, with umbrella support for other White family businesses.

    Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and  Experience

  • Tertiary or similar qualifications in communications, journalism, public relations

  • 2+ years background in communications role and  / or franchising

  • Experience supporting complex stakeholders 

  • Love writing and have a skill for making the complex simple

  • A basic understanding of digital systems such as email marketing platforms, CMS systems, and Google Workspace.
