benefits here CLA is currently seeking a Communications Associate to
join our talented Communications team. This role supports the
Communications team by drafting compelling written communications, as
well as proofreading and revising the content of written communication
materials in preparation for final publication. This role manages CLA’s
internal newsletters and helps with intranet updates. They may
specialize in communications content for either the external
communications or internal communications teams. This role reports to
the Managing Director of Public Relations and Communications and
regularly interacts with CLA family members across a variety of
functions. May also interact with external sources, such as journalists,
job seekers, campus event organizers, professional association
administrators, and regulatory agencies. How you’ll create
opportunities in this Communications Associate role: Communication
Strategy: Supports the development and execution of an effective and
cohesive communications strategy, whether geared toward internal CLA
family members or to the external marketplace and social media
audiences. Continually seeks to evaluate and improve the effectiveness
of internal or external communications strategy and methods. Written
Communication: Helps draft specific communications action plans,
timelines, and defined deliverables that support the communication of
messages that shape and promote CLA culture, drive engagement, educate,
and deliver results. Proofreads copy to detect and correct spelling,
punctuation, mathematical, and syntax errors and ensures writing
complies to AP and CLA style guides. Communicates and collaborates with
reviewers, authors, SMEs, and project directors to ensure the final
written copy conveys accurate messaging and represents CLA culture.
