Job Description
Albemarle is hiring for a Communications Adviser. This position is located in Perth, Western Australia, in-office and located in the Perth CBD.
What You Will Do
-
Leads effective external reactive and proactive media management and communications to enhance Albemarle’s business objectives in Australia and promote and protect the company’s reputation and brand, including:
-
the creation, coordination and publication of announcements relating to Albemarle Australia’s operations and activities as well its community partnerships and sponsorships;
-
management of Albemarle Australia’s LinkedIn platform;
-
management of relationships and interactions with media, government media advisers and contractor communications team members as required;
-
management of media enquiries with Albemarle Australia’s media consultancy;
-
management of Australian online presence on the corporate website.

Leads effective internal communications, liaising with Australian functional leaders to create, coordinate and publish timely and accurate information, across a number of platforms including:
-
the intranet;
-
Teams channels, TVs and screens;
-
Kemerton monthly digital newsletter;
-
Communications as required by the Chief Operating Officer – Australia;
-
Town Hall presentations as required.

Management of graphic design requirements for templates, pamphlets and posters as required.

Management of photographic, videographic content and library.
-
Crisis communications support.
-
Management of media training and external presentation/speech preparation as required
-
Regular engagement with global communications team to ensure awareness and alignment of Australian operations and activities
What You Bring
Required:
-
10 years’ experience working in a media/communications/public relations role.
-
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
-
Extensive experience in creating/writing, coordinating and publishing content.
-
Experience creating collateral (fact sheets, Q&A, key messages etc) to support external activities.
-
Extensive experience using a variety of communication channels and platforms (including LinkedIn)
-
Experience dealing with all forms of media including issues management.
-
Self-motivated, hands-on, team player with developed interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
-
Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline including Communication, Public Relations or Marketing
-
Knowledge or qualification in online platform and software management
