EuroMed Feminist Initiative (EFI) is a policy platform that provide expertise in the field of equality between
women and men and democracy building and advocates for political and peaceful solutions to all conflicts
and the rights of peoples to self-determination. EFI works closely with various partners to advance these
goals.
The project “Improving Access to Comprehensive Gender-Based Violence Services in Jordan” has been
implemented in Jordan since 1
October 2022 and aims to strengthen the prevention and protection
systems on gender-based violence in Jordan. The project is funded by the European Union (EU) and
implemented by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) in collaboration
with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and all project partner organizations: EuroMed
Feminist Initiative, National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA), Institute for Family Health (IFH), Justice
Center for Legal Aid (JCLA), SOS Children’s Villages Association in Jordan, Information and Research Center
– King Hussein Foundation (IRC-KHF), Tafila Women’s Society (TWCS), Arab Women’s Association (AWO),
and Family Guidance Awareness Center (FGAC).

Within the framework of the project, EFI has been conducting mass public awareness raising campaigns
for combating and preventing violence against women and girls.
EFI is looking to hire a Communication and Visibility (C&V) Coordinator based in Amman to ensure the
effective implementation of its communication and visibility plan, support the implementation of the third
media campaign within the framework of the project, and manage the website and social media channels
of EFI.
Key responsibilities
The C&V coordinator shall undertake the following tasks:
- Implement the comprehensive communication and visibility plan in line with EFI’s guidelines, project objectives and the EU communication and visibility guidelines.
- Create and disseminate promotional materials, including brochures, social media content, and display banners.
- Manage EFI’s online presence, including website content and social media platforms.
- Support the technical implementation of media campaigns and follow up with the media agency.
- Coordinate and manage the visibility of national events to enhance visibility and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop priority messages and ensure consistent, user-friendly communication across all visibility materials.
- Engage with media personnel and influencers to raise awareness of EFI’s work, the project’s goals and impacts.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication activities, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with project partners to ensure coordinated and timely dissemination of information.
- Submit monthly progress reports on the implemented communication and visibility tasks outlining their impact.
Management and Monitoring
The C&V Coordinator will work closely with EFI’s Executive Director, Regional Programs Manager and project coordinator, ensuring that communication and visibility activities are effectively implemented in alignment with the project goals and standards. Regular updates and reports will be developed and documented.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A university degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in communications, preferably within the development sector.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
- Strong skills in digital communication, including social media management and content creation.
- Experience in organizing events and managing media relations.
- Experience in conducting media campaigns and developing promotional materials.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement communication strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content tailored to different platforms and audiences.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with basic graphic design principles and tools is a plus.

The assignment duration is 5 Months, ending on 13 of June 2025 with the possibility of extension based
on performance and organizational needs
