Lead the Charge in Commercial Finance – Commercial Manager (Mako Robotics)
Are you ready to take on a high-impact, fast-paced role at the intersection of finance and strategy? We’re seeking a Commercial Manager – Mako to join our Finance team for a 18-month contract. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, this pivotal role places you in the heart of our Commercial Business Partnering team.

Be a Strategic Leader: Act as a key business partner and co-pilot to the National Sales Manager for Robotics, driving profitable growth and mitigating risks through smart deal structures and governance.
Deliver Results That Matter: Lead business partnering, performance management, planning, and decision support for the Mako sales team while spearheading strategic projects that impact the entire organization.
Lead: Mentor and manage a Finance Analyst, fostering growth and collaboration within the team.

Key Responsibilities include:
Lead the Mako commercial finance team to drive function performance with P&L ownership and management reporting.
Business partner with divisions and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Lead the end-to-end forecasting and annual budgeting process, long-term strategic planning and provide advice on risks & opportunities.
Support decision making through financial modelling, insights and analysis of key performance drivers.
Lead investment appraisal reviews, business cases, pricing strategy and pre-alignment/approval processes and provide recommendations.
Drive continuous process improvement, automation and implement best practices.
Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to a high performing team.
Critical Requirements (e.g. skills, experience, qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in finance related topic is required
Minimum of 8 years of experience.
CA/CPA qualified or working towards it is strongly preferred
Proven relationship building and influencing capabilities.
Strong communication skills and proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
Intermediate to advanced excel knowledge with the ability to leverage advanced formulas, Macros, tools and shortcuts to analyse and provide insights on data.
Able to create advanced Power BI reports strongly preferred.
Ability to provide coaching and support to other team members is preferred.
