Role: In-House Counsel – Commercial ContractsThis role is based in Dublin and will report to the Group General Counsel.It offers an excellent opportunity to join a major player in the financial technology industry – a dynamic global business that has more than tripled in size since 2010 and continues to expand both organically and through strategic acquisitions.This is a chance to practice law in a fast-paced, in-house setting, working alongside a highly collaborative international team of lawyers and legal analysts.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Advising the Group General Counsel and other senior executives on all legal aspects of the company’s commercial relationships.
• Drafting and negotiating software license agreements and other contractual documents.
• Providing actionable legal advice aligned with the company’s strategic commercial objectives.
• Advising on and assisting in the resolution of contentious matters.
• Applying and developing best practices in risk management.
• Adopting and implementing lean management principles in the delivery of legal services.

This is a global role, and the candidate will need to become familiar with the relevant aspects of commercial law in the jurisdictions where our hiring partners operate.RequirementsThe ideal candidate will be:

• A qualified lawyer (solicitor, barrister, or attorney) from a common law jurisdiction with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Smart and commercially savvy.
• Able to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
• Intellectually curious, independent, and rigorous in their thinking.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Skilled at managing document templates and efficiently processing legal documentation.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in international mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions.
• Experience working in the legal department of a multinational company.
• Expertise in intellectual property (IP) or information technology (IT) law.
