As a Cloud Engineer, you will be part of a driven team that loves to share passion for IT and new technologies. You will join the 3rd line team, as a cloud expert, to support educational institutions with operational as well as project-based issues. You will join a team that works with and for each other, makes time for technical sparring and all share the same passion and eagerness to learn!Signpost provides solutions for educational institutions, employees, teachers and students in various European countries and is market leader in Belgium. We take a service-oriented approach combining connectivity, hardware, software, digital teaching methods and training.You will join Academic Software, the team that specialises in software for schools. Academic Software acts as an intermediary for the purchase of software licences (such as Microsoft and Adobe) and offers an online software portal with more than 900 software titles for secondary and higher education.You will divide your time between operational tasks, and will be given weekly time off to delve into projects that will be implemented in the medium- to long-term. As our Cloud Engineer, you are fluent in the latest applications such as Azure (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS) and Microsoft 365 (Intune, Exchange, SharePoint, Entra, Defender 365, Power Automate).A broad base of knowledge is a definite plus and employable here. Necessary knowledge of:Azure and Microsoft technologies;Broad basis of system and networking: e.g. you can easily handle server management, migrations & know how routing and switching worksKnowledge of other cloud providers can certainly be considered a solid basis;You are customer-oriented: you think along with and for the customer and can clarify IT technical information in an understandable way.A future colleague with a strong affinity for security and experience in implementing security measures certainly has a leg up!
