Our water team has opportunities for graduate civil engineers to work these areas:

  • Advisory and Planning

  • Water Infrastructure

  • Dams and hydro

  • Water resources

  • The planning and advisory team engage in strategic, tactical and operational planning for assets and systems that deliver the essential services of water and wastewater to communities. The team engages with client to understand their planning requirements based on current and future needs. A systematic approach of collecting relevant information and data, analysing trends, forecasting projections and then planning based on the needs of the communities and environment.

  • The Water Infrastructure team works on making sure that everyone gets water to their homes and businesses and ensure all the wastewater is treated and discharged safely back into the water cycle. This means taking care of water supply, water storage and water treatment.

  • The Dams team works on ensuring all dams are safe to secure our valuable water resources and provide security against flooding. The Hydro team is an innovative environment leading the way in providing reliable, renewable energy. On a day to day, (DAM) Designing a dam upgrade, travelling to North Queensland to undertake a dam safety inspection, or crunch the dams instrumentation data. (HYDRO) Assisting projects in the Pacific Islands, designing a new hydropower tunnel, or comparing turbines for a new hydropower system.

  • The Water Resources team works on ensuring that flood and stormwater is effectively managed. This may mean designing drainage systems to convey and treat rainwater or undertaking modelling to estimate the impacts of major flooding for emergency purposes

Qualifications

About you:

    • Civil Engineering degree – if you studied Geotechnical engineering or Business degree, please let us know.
    • Passion for learning and problem-solving
    • Eligible to work in Australia
    • Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years of experience
